Emmaus Legion Baseball Field Reconstruction Project is generating interest in the Borough
As part of the 2010 Budget Emmaus Borough Council approved investing $100,000 for improvements to the Emmaus Legion Baseball Field at Emmaus Community Park. The plan was to partner with the East Penn School District, which approved investing $300,000 in the Legion Field and $100,000 in the Kiwanis/Williams Street Recreational Complex. As a result of its investment in the Borough’s facilities, the School District’s Varsity Baseball and Softball teams would return to Emmaus and use the Borough’s fields as its home fields during the spring sports season.
The Council has been working through many issues regarding the Project, and it has garnered significant attention in town. The Borough has prepared a written “Overview” explaining the Project and its status. Please click the following link to read about the Project, including its history, the reasons for the Project, the financial plan, and other facts about the Project. We hope that you find the information helpful.
Legion Baseball Field Information
Wouldn't it be great to have a soldier who is serving or has served in Iraq or Afghanistan receive letters or cards from their home town? We want these brave men and women to know that they are not forgotten. Below is a list of residents who protect America’s freedom. Please take a minute and let them know that Emmaus cares. If you know someone missing from this list, please email pweiant@borough.emmaus.pa.us to add their name and mailing address.
